DAMO API Terms

DAMO API Terms

Effective 2026-10-27

Effective 2026-10-27

1. The service

The DAMO API (https://api.damolive.com) and the DAMO MCP server (https://api.damolive.com/mcp) provide DAMO market state outputs: four permanent state codes across ten fixed timeframes, in two layers (DAMO VERIFIED and DAMO LIVE). The service is operated by Protocol Holdings Co., Ltd. By using it you agree to these terms.

2. Access and limits

No account or API key is required. The free tier allows 500 state values per client per UTC day (1 state value = 1 symbol × 1 timeframe) and a request rate limit. Every state response shows the remaining quota. Requests over a limit receive HTTP 429 with a retry time. Do not attempt to circumvent the limits. DAMO may change the limits, and may block traffic that harms the service.

3. Attribution and redistribution

When you show DAMO data to others, keep the citation line included in each response (for example: “DAMO VERIFIED · BTCUSDT · recorded state as of … · damolive.com”). Do not present DAMO LIVE states as recorded history. Do not present DAMO outputs as data from any exchange, or as your own engine’s output.

You may use DAMO outputs in your own applications and agents and show them to your users with the citation line. Without written permission from Protocol Holdings Co., Ltd., you may not: resell or sublicense DAMO outputs; offer access to them as a paid service, including through a wrapper, proxy, MCP server or marketplace listing; redistribute them in bulk or as a data feed; or use multiple clients or addresses to exceed the free tier on behalf of others.

4. Not investment advice

DAMO describes market states. It does not provide trading signals, forecasts or investment advice, and does not claim that its states predict prices. Any decision based on DAMO data is your own.

5. Data source

Since 2026-10-26 00:00 UTC, market states are computed from the DAMO composite, built from several public crypto perpetual futures markets. Records made before that time were computed from a single reference market and are kept unchanged. DAMO is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any exchange. DAMO publishes its own state outputs only, not raw prices or candles.

6. Availability and no warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind and without a service level guarantee. DAMO LIVE states are provisional. Data may be delayed, unavailable or marked as such in the response.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Protocol Holdings Co., Ltd. is not liable for any loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service or its data.

8. What does not change

The meaning of the four state codes and the ten timeframes is permanent. Changes to the state engine are released as new engine versions, and recorded states are never recomputed.

9. Privacy

API usage statistics are described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Reverse engineering and model training

Without written permission from Protocol Holdings Co., Ltd., you may not: (a) reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to reconstruct the DAMO state engine, its rules or its parameters, including by analyzing DAMO outputs against market data; (b) use DAMO outputs to train, fine-tune or calibrate a model, rule set or service that reproduces or approximates DAMO states; or (c) collect DAMO outputs systematically beyond the needs of your own application or agent, for example to build a dataset or archive. Using DAMO outputs as context for answers to your users, and caching responses for your own application, are allowed.
